Bill Maher had been selected to speak at UC Berkley
, one of top Left leaning or Liberal institutions from among many. What incensed the student body is Bill Maher’s outspoken but fortunately true words of truth about Islam. “Islam is the only religion that acts like the mafia that will f***ing kill you if you say the wrong thing,” Maher said during one episode of his show. However in a rare overturning of cases, UC Berkley has decided to ignore the petition and go on with keeping Bill Maher as the Commencement Speaker.Even NYTimes’s Op-Ed writer Timothy Egan seems to be offended, but in a different way; he’s defending UC berkley’s decision! As The scariest of bigots, obviously, is any person of faith who thinks it is moral to stone someone to death for violating the rules of, or leaving, a religion. He further says, “You know things have gone full-circle crazy when the administrators, the original target of protesters in 1964, are telling the students to open their minds a bit!”
CAIR, Council of American Islamic Relations, one organization that camps down on anyone hinting criticism of Islam, has been very disappointed! They had come down with full force on outspoken Ali Hersey, a pre-Muslim and currently big time critic of Islam and its horrendous acts against women but justifiable in Islam. CAIR had managed to stall the screenings of the Film ‘Honor Diaries’ in a few universities with the help of very Liberal women. Little did those naive students know the evil workings of CAIR! Perhaps UC Berkley learned a few things of caving in to pressure especially if one of their own has been vocal about a few things.
