The nation is battered weekly by the incompetent leadership of the current Obama administration. This week it’s the repatriation of five key Taliban Commanders and their release has greatly endangered America’s national security. One has to wonder is it time for the U.S. House of Representatives to finally draw up articles of impeachment.
It is a sad commentary that on a month where our nation honors the patriotism and valor of servicemen who stormed Normandy in 1944 that our nation endures a Commander-in-Chief who betrayed the military successes achieved in Iraq and Afghanistan; whose administration willfully denied veterans their ability to receive medical care; and a Commander who sent his National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, to falsely portray an alleged US Army Deserter as a war hero for political gain.
President Obama has a voracious appetite in making appalling decisions that damage American domestic and international interest; suborn the rights and liberties of American citizens; ravage the economic prosperity of the nation through his abusive executive orders and stifling governmental regulations; and his imperial proclivity to select and choose which laws he will obey. The role, authority, and oversight of Congress are greatly diminished by Obama’s unlawful and tyrannical conduct.
The emasculation of a coherent Afghanistan strategy is clear by Obama’s decision to release five Taliban Commanders for the return of a U.S. Army deserter. The legacy of Obama’s judgment is particularly disturbing and potentially disastrous to all Americans abroad as we all become legitimate targets of terrorists ready to negotiate for ransom. Obama’s irrational decision can only be understood in the framework of pure political gamesmanship. Clearly Obama had the prisoner transfer in the bag for a while and when the VA scandal erupted, he used the transfer to push the VA scandal on the back pages.
In addition, Obama’s repatriation of the five top pinnacles of radical terrorists is aimed to step closer to shutting the Guantanamo military prison facility down. In fact, Obama refuses to acknowledge that America is in a war with radical Islam. Instead, his DOJ, under Eric Holder, has renewed a Domestic Terror Task Force that will concentrate on domestic terrorist groups such as Christians and the Tea Party instead of concentrating on radical Islamic groups.
President Obama is clearly aware he only has two years left in office and he has decided to implement his wishes regardless of statutory laws or increased terrorism acted as a result of his decisions. He has been blindsided a little by the public and mainstream media’s visceral reaction to his latest colossal blunder. Shielded in the past by liberal media and ardent Democrat supporters, Obama incorrectly surmised that he could play the part of a noble statesman for bringing an American hostage home.
The staged pageantry of Obama’s recent White House photo op with the father of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl backfired on him. The father’s praising of Allah at the conclusion of the White House event ruined the “slam dunk” complicity stunt. In addition, in order to paint a sympathetic picture of a loving father and a hero son, Obama sent Susan Rice to appear on another Sunday News talk show where she exclaimed to everyone’s amazement that Sgt Bergdahl “Served the United States with honor and distinction.” The tone and display of the White House propaganda machine is reminiscent of the White House Benghazi cover up. The dishonesty and false narrative proffered by Susan Rice and President Obama demonstrates again that both are shameless. The question that should be asked is who wrote the new Susan Rice “talking Points?”
The balderdash and brazenness of the Obama administration in their nefarious attempt to rehabilitate a known Army deserter for Obama’s political “spiking of the football” moment is disgusting and unworthy of a U.S. President. Yet, Americans have come to understand that Obama is a pure political animal whose decisions are based entirely on what is politically good for him and not the nation.
For all of us who served the nation, we take offense to the description of Sgt Bergdahl service as honorable with distinction. No, Sgt Bergdahl committed a crime under the Uniform Code of Military Justice the moment he strolled away unauthorized from his compound, regardless of his intent. In previous wars, deserters were executed by firing squads. Sgt Bergdahl is no American hero and should be formally charged with Desertion, held without bond in a military penal facility awaiting his Court Martial, and if found guilty sentence to life in a military prison, Fort Leavenworth.
What was the legal authority used by the President to authorized the repatriation of the five Taliban Commanders? According to liberal Constitutional legal scholar, Jonathan Turley, Obama broke the law when he failed to inform Congress 30 days in advance of the Taliban release as required by statute. Judge Andrew Napolitano takes a step farther and articulates that Obama has aided and abetted the enemy.
In a rebuke to standard US policy of not negotiating with terrorists, the administration clumsily portrays its efforts as no different from other prisoner exchanges at the conclusion of a war. Once again, the administration has misleads the American public on the facts. Al Qaeda and the Taliban are not nation states. The rules under the Geneva Convention do not apply to terrorist. Regardless of America’s retreat from the Afghan War, the war against radical Islam will continue unabated. Indifferent to how Obama views the fight, the enemy has a say in when the war stops and clearly they see no reason to surrender their long term objectives, especially when faced against a weak U.S. President.
What is extraordinary is that Obama has effectively replenished and rejuvenated the Taliban command structure. Their ability to inflict grievous harm to the government of Afghanistan and against U.S. interest around the globe cannot be overstated. President Obama’s decision to the release five of the most dangerous of all U.S. held Taliban prisoners has greatly endangered the national security of the United States and he should be held accountable for aiding and abetting America’s enemies.
On the international scale, Obama once again has illustrated to our allies that he cannot be trusted. Afghanistan President Kharzi and the Afghan population are stunned and angered at Obama’s duplicity that unjustly imperils and undermines their government’s future capability of defeating the Taliban insurgents.
Our friends and allies, faced with a tide of growing strategic threats from China and Russia, are stoically shaking their heads in despair. Obama, an incompetent and corrupt President, is qualified as a community organizer but he is an object failure as a manager and leader of a great nation. Obama is incapable of providing stable leadership in the face of growing threats. He lacks character, integrity, and vision required to sustain America’s security and safety against the rising tide of global threats. Obama is incapable of providing our allies the necessary confidence that America will honor its treaty obligations and stand firmly with them against any aggressor. They know he will not! Obama personally has weakened America’s influence and prestige throughout the world and as a result, Americans are less safe.
Obama’s repatriation of the five Taliban Commanders is a slap in the face to the brave exploits of every serviceman who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. Obama has personally jettisoned all the successes that our military forces have advanced over the last decade. The sweat, aches, injuries, and deaths that countless American servicemen suffered in Afghanistan and Iraq are wasted as if we never served. President Obama’s treacherous harm to America’s national security interest cannot continue if this nation is to survive.
The time has arrived for the U.S. House of Representatives to draw up articles of impeachment against the President of the United States. The Senate controlled by Democrat Senators will never impeach the President regardless of his crime, but the House of Representatives should stand firm against the growing tyranny of the imperial Obama Presidency. It is time for the House to demonstrate through the articles of impeachment that they will no longer be complicit to President Obama feckless and lawless governance.
